Fighting fake news is a corporate blind spot across Europe
One-in-four organisations has already been affected by fake news, but only 12 per cent have established advanced routines to identify threats, according to a new academic study across 48 countries

Fink & Fuchs – Consolidation at a high level
The communications agency Fink & Fuchs generated fee revenues of EUR 6.41 million in fiscal year 2017 (previous year: EUR 6.42 million). The company continued to invest with solid profitability in new services while expanding its expertise in integrated communication services. These developments meant the dip in traditional PR service sales was compensated for by the extremely good progress the agency made in the areas of motion pictures, creation, employer communication and digital media. Fink & Fuchs is new partner of the European Communication Monitor
The communications agency has been supporting the European Communication Monitor (ECM), the world’s largest transnational survey on strategic communication issues, as a “Digital Communication Partner” since mid-February. The Fink & Fuchs team is actively participating in the redesign and operation of ECM’s online content, the development of additional information offerings and the active marketing of results. The Wiesbaden-based agency brings to the table of the 3-year partnership its 15-year expertise in the design and marketing of scientific research projects.

New Partners at Fink & Fuchs
Alexandra Groß and Michael Grupe, both members of the Management Board Fink & Fuchs AG since 2011, have acquired shares in the communications agency. Their new role as partners marks a further step in the generational change initiated in 2011 by the agency based in Wiesbaden, Berlin and Munich.

Alexandra Gross now a Member of the New GPRA Presiding Committee
The new management team of the GPRA – Association of Leading PR and Communication Agencies in Germany has now been formed. Christiane Schulz (Weber Shandwick) was confirmed as its President, Susanne Marell (Edelman.ergo) as Deputy President, and Alexandra Groß (Fink & Fuchs) and Thorsten Hebes (Serviceplan PR) as members of the Presiding Committee. Uwe Kohrs (impact) will continue to support the GPRA in his new position as Chairman. We are pleased that our Board member Alexandra Groß has been elected as a representative of Fink & Fuchs for our association for the first time ever. PR Agency of the year in 2016 continues to grow
The 78-strong team of the communications agency Fink & Fuchs generated fee revenue of EUR 6.42 million (previous year: EUR 5.9 million) in fiscal year 2016. Numerous new mandates and additional projects with existing clients led to growth of 8.8 percent. Among the new clients are F5, Facebook Germany, Proalpha as well as the Federal Administration with other projects coming from various federal ministries and authorities. The volume of orders increased significantly, particularly in the growth areas of digital communication, moving pictures and employer communication. Communication Value Circle for value-adding corporate communications strategies
One of the first milestones in the research project “Value Creating Communication” was the Communication Value Circle published in 2016, an extremely interesting approach to better connect communication with strategic corporate objectives. Launched in 2015 under the direction of Professor Ansgar Zerfaß, the five-year research project of the Academic society for Management & Communication is regarded as the world’s most comprehensive research program on corporate communications.
Especially with regard to the often cited deficits in the strategic orientation of communication and in the formulation of viable communication targets aimed at entrepreneurial value added, this new model seems to us to be very suitable for practice.
