Only two more weeks and an eventful year 2014 will be coming to a close: In Germany, we earned our fourth star – even if not all of you will remember. And we finally managed to say goodbye to the legendary TV-show “Wetten, dass …”. Both would have been completely unthinkable only a few years ago.
From a communications standpoint, next year should be every bit as exciting. We are willing to lean out of the window pretty far and make a prediction today: “Visual Storytelling” and “Branded Journalism” will be really hot topics. Furthermore, we believe everybody will focus on “content” in 2015. Yes, we do. How do we know this? Well, just take our word for it.
We are less inclined to believe that selfies will continue to write their success story, however. They actually reached their peak when Bradley Cooper took his famous selfie at the Oscars at the beginning of the year. But let’s be honest, the German marketing magazine W&V was right in reporting a few days ago that all of these different selfies are starting to get on our nerves.
This is why we are taking this opportunity to relive the trend again, before it’s too late, with our donut Christmas greetings.
